She's all grown up....

It was Kins 4th birthday yesterday...she is no longer a toddler of any sort!! We talked about her birthday for many days, weeks...and then the day hits and she can hardly stand it..it was great! Daddy said "Now everyone can call you 4!!" her mouth dropped open and she started jumping for joy..it REALLY sunk in then...adorable!!! We had a fun day of playing, picking up her birthday cake (just the girls as she likes to say) and then the Chapman family came over..it was a WONDERFUL day! Here are a few shots...

Summer in Mn that is. We had another great weekend up north, we celebrated my brother's 37th birthday and Kins 4th birthday! We had cocktail cruises, coffee cruises, cake and ice cream, gifts and of course pictures! We got Kins haircut on Friday..it's pretty short, the verdict is still out on how everyone (i.e her father) feels about it..here are few a shots. My mom also made all the cousins some cute shirts, so I got a few shots of them this afternoon. Nana is pretty crafty..she used potatoes and fabric paint... made these all by hand..ADORABLE..thanks NANA!!

GNO's...

Actually, it should be called GNI's!! I have a group of wonderful friends, we all went to Bethel together...we get together once a month. We rotate homes to hang out and eat dinner together...we call it GNO Girls Night Out, the problem is....we NEVER go out..hence GNI, Girls Night IN!!!

Had another wonderful night with them last night..such an amazing group of beautiful women, we laugh, we cry, we talk over each other endlessly and we love each other. It's a special bond we all have for each other..the love of Christ...the desire to live our life in a Godly manner, with Christ centered in our life.

Blogging world..

Ok, this seems a little crazy, but I can just google anything about Blogging and a gazillion sites come up...who'd a thunk that people all around the world, like to communicate/share their feelings on line..so many things to talk about...genius!!!

I've been enjoying the Olympics, not really a huge fan of any specific sport per say, but I like to learn about the lives of the athletes. It's truly unbelieveable how these people (mostly young people) live, train...they eat, sleep and practice..amazing dedication and determination..something I really admire! I also love to watch my buddy Perk on KARE 11..go PERK!!

We are home from up north..had an "eventful" weekend..that is with attitudes of course. Not too much relaxing, but we survived (I'm glad Perry is back in town!) I tried to focus on the good things....aka..pictures above!

I love having kids, but I also love time of peace and quiet. I guess that time comes when they go away to college?!?! Love being a mom, love being a wife, love being a daughter..but also like being alone sometimes!

Maybe I'll hit the spa soon..any takers?!?!?

And this is my first post!!!!Ok, so Tarah (I know your the only one reading this :) I'm sorry I haven't posted all week....I realize how much you truly look forward to my blog...and yet I have nothing. We are going up north, back early Sunday to pick up Per from the airport..yahoo!

Super Saturday

Cheesy title huh?? Well, it was..I got to run around the lake first thing this morning, then I hit Starbucks before my photography class. I learned a few little things, but mostly review..still fun though! Then I ran to Rosedale, I haven't been to a mall since the snow has melted..pathetic huh? I am a major bargin shopper, so I only hit sale racks..nothing full price..EVER!! Just that rule alone, gets me in and out of stores really quick. So I hit Gap, got P a pair jeans for school ($10!) and then I hit Borders....that's it..can you stand it? I came home and played around with my camera until everyone came home. Perry had taken the kids up to the cabin for the day. When they got home, the kids were so cranky..too much sun and hungry..so P went off to the Twins game and I made some treats for the kids while they watched a little TV. Then K and I went outside for a little photo shoot...one problem, as you will notice, K only had her underwear and Tshirt on...cutie! Enough for now....off to finish my book The Shack..MUST READ..EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
